Keep it Simple With Mono-Eating Less is More

Variety is the spice of life, right? Well, spices are often used to simulate us in one way or another. If we become addicted to this stimulation is often the reason why we end up in poor health in the first place. I go deeper into this in the Food Addiction and or Emotional Eating series.


Now, Mono-eating is a simple yet effective way to turn your health around and maintain balanced health by giving your body a break from all of that variety and letting it focus on one thing at a time (instead of multi-tasking, which a lot of us are also addicted to). When you are mono-eating, that means that you are eating one food per meal or throughout the day. For detoxification purposes, we are talking about eating mono-eating fruit.

If you look at the Detoxification pyramid above, you will see that eating mono-fruit is only third to a juice or water fast and dry fasting. In other words, this is one of the best ways to detox. Why? Well, make the digestion process that much simpler and easier. The stomach secretes a different juice mixture to digest food, depending on the food. In other words, each food we eat causes and required a different chemical reaction to properly and efficiently digest and break the food down. In the digestive process Your body actives different enzymes depending on the food you are eating. Each process that is activated by your body during your meal time equals more energy for the body to use energy fuel and nutrients to help to break down the food you eat. So the simpler and easier it is to break down. Mono eating fruit increases the efficiency of the digestion process and frees up your body's energy to focus on healing and regenerating itself.

- Papaya

- Watermelon

- Honeydew

- Pineapple

- Grapes

- Mangos
