My Almost 3 Day Dry Fasting Experience: 70hr Diary #3

ree

So I went without food and no water for 3 days, well, 2 hours away from the official 3-day mark.

I had other things to do so I broke my fast a bit early.

My 1st 24 hours was is easy honestly. At this point, it's mind over matter and my body is quite used to the weekly dry fast, at least the 24-36 hour mark. I was up until 3 AM and then was able to get 4-5 hours of sleep.

At 36 hours I started to feel hot and cold. I felt internal heating up and burning start have this copper metallic taste that comes and went in my mouth.

I took a nap during this day and time because it has been challenging to get any more than 5 hours of sleep at night.

At 48 hours the mouth feels dry and the lips are kind of chapped. I feel sweating and light. I have to start to take more focus on taking deeper breaths and started getting heartburns.

I was also peeing every 5-6 hours, but I have not had any bowel movements during this time and did not do any enemas beforehand.

I broke my fast with coconut water then ate watermelon, then an hour later I ate mangos, and had a nice veggie salad to end the night.

After presuming to break my fast, my throat started to get really scratchy and my dry cough seemed to come again. Later that night, I woke up for an hour coughing and spitting thick phlegm and mucus from my throat. I have had about 2 oz of phlegm spitting up last night, yellow phlegm.

A day after the fast, I was finally able to have my first bowel movement that came out once I woke up. There were some was pellets forms and other regular stools all in one bowel movement.

I had something breaking up in my throat throughout the week and more head drainage that started 4 -5 days after I broke my fast. It was so bad, I had to cancel everything and was bedridden for about the next 2 days. I have never personally reached this level of detox before that it took me out like this. I then started to recover but noticed my sense of smell and taste was gone. I knew it would come back but still freaked out low-key. I was experiencing acidic burns in my nose and mouth. I was eating clementines daily during these days looking back as well. I decided to slow down the detox because even in the house I was not functioning much and even had fatigue and experienced brain fog for those few days down. I was really wondering when I was going to gain my senses back. I now can taste and smell again, I have an eating window of 12 noon till 5 PM. I was also experiencing constipation and random bruising taking place as well as knee and shin soreness. I haven't had these aches and pains since I was a teenager running track but they came back, so clearly after your 3 days dry fast the body is still working on a high internal level afterward at least for me that what it seemed to be for the 5-7 days following my dry fast.

I have now changed a few things up to eat salads 3 times weekly (with olives, avocados, or tahini sauce with fresh herbs and sprouts) but mainly still eat raw fruits all day. I also give myself a cheat meal weekly which I plan to eventually fade out later. I will continue with the fasting weekly and do a 3 day dry fast monthly. I have not been calorie counting nor have I really had an appetite since the fast, at least the last 10 days since the fast. I have noticed I barely been eating enough calories. I know this because I have not had a regular bowel movement which for me, at least once per day was my norm given I have chronic bowels, sluggish peristalsis, and weak parathyroid that I am currently working on. I know on Restore and this lifestyle, my bowel movement will become regular. I would have 2-3 bowel movements daily and be able to get good rest.

I have been sleeping overall okay recently and have seen a huge improvement in my sleep since the fast. My stress level has been low, I read at night, go to sleep around 11 pm, wake once per night and allow my body to naturally wake up in the morning. I am working on having a consistent sleep pattern and getting enough sunlight and outside activity throughout the day. Especially because it is really beautiful weather here and it will help reset my circadian rhythm.

Also, update - I was able to order Restore aka Ion Biome here in Mexico. Still waiting for it to arrive which should be by this weekend. It costs extra of course because it is coming from the states, but I am grateful and happy it is coming. As I am on Restore I will do a review or vlog going more in detail about the products still doing my weekly fast but do monthly 70-72 hours to dry fast. Till next time that my update for you all hope yall doing well
